On a Sunny Day in May

The sun was shining, and birds were singing and it was a glorious day to be up early and meet with friends to share our love of quilting (and give our backs a break from the gardening!)

This is an affirmation our guest Penny Marble shared-  from her retreat with Ricky Tims.  It seemed like a good start for this post.

In our show and tell, there was a lot to love and be inspired by!

Mary Kozub needle felted another bunny

Nancy Ellers never makes one of anything!
(This is called "Little Morsels", a pattern by Fons and Porter)

Rosine Wloch used only fabric from her stash to make this King- sized beauty!

Member Cathy Schmeider did the quilting

Mary Ellen Ames won this amazing quilt from a raffle ticket she bought at a consortium event.  It came in a matching bag/ pillow sham.

Mary Lu Hodgins made this for a grandchild- only 3 more to make!

Nancy Schraeder went looking for backing for a holiday runner she was making and ended up using a collection of fabrics instead for this lovely non-traditional piece!

Nancy had Julie Brandon print this original drawing on fabric to make this pillow

Gloria Crittenden made this as a housewarming gift

Carol McNally was given  a bag of blocks and fabric at the march Community Service day, and ended up with three quilt tops!

Barb Brady finished her daughter's holiday quilt just in time to hang on the newly installed quilt rack.

Some items turned in to Community Service
After Penny's lecture, she gave a class on Ricky Tims' "Rhapsody" quilt technique.  I'm sure we'll be seeing some of the results very soon!
