Demo Day 2018

Show and Tell is usually the best part of each meeting.  Demo day comes close to being better, since we always learn so much from our fellow members.  You can decide for yourself!

Martha finished this quilt for the grandson due to arrive at the end of the year.

Nancy Ellers made this retro video game quilt for her daughter.

Nancy loves fining a bargain on fabric- the stripe one was less than a dollar a yard!

Nancy will donate these to the cancer center

 Elaine Lemley's beautiful Adirondacks quilt.

Pat Gardner finished this log cabin Christmas tree quilt just in time.

Elaine Ross made this for the annual combined show with RAFA and the Lapidary society.  The music in the wave s from Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue".

Liz Scott really wowed us at her very first show and tell!  First with this Thanksgiving table runner....
...and then with this Judy Neimeyer wedding ring quilt she made for her sister's 50th birthday.  Liz chose the fabrics herself.

Mary Ellen Ames loves Judy Neimeyer- this runner is her latest finish.

Nancy Schrader learned how to make these "snippets" coasters at a recent class.

Nancy made these snowman toppers for a gift basket.

Kathy Belluscio used a kit from Penny Marble Designs  to make this turkey table runner.

Many thanks to the four members who gave of their time to do the demos this month!

Carol McNally showed us how to make a charm quilt on point using a technique she learned from the Missouri Star Quilt Company.  If you weren't able to attend the meeting, you can get Carol's instructions here

Irene Bow showed us all how to make the very popular jelly roll rug.

Mary Kozub showed us how to layer our quilts using pool noodles

Martha showed how to pieced the blocks needed to make a quilt like the one Mary Kozub made for her son a couple of years ago.  Martha's instructions are here

The next meeting is our annual holiday party.  If you're planning to come, remember the meeting is the SECOND Saturday of December.  Bring a yummy brunch type dish to pass and your own place setting.
