Mary Diamond and May Show and Tell

The May meeting was another great time! As always- thanks to those who make it happen- the board and the volunteers who set up chairs and bring snacks.  Our people are what make our Guild special!!

One piece of business to report for any who missed the May meeting:
Entry forms for the quilt show will be in your June newsletter.  If you are unsure how to fill them out, Alex Hammon will happily help you!

Also as usual, Show and Tell alone was worth the trip!

A family Heirloom presented by Kay Lennon

Mary Ellen Casey finished her piece from the class with Penny marble in April.

Judi Piscatello made a new shower curtain

Eula Serrino made a nine patch pizzazz quilt featuring mutant wolves.  :-)

Eula also finished this piece, from a kit, she had worked on at the retreat.

This very sweet quilt is also by Eula

Chris Kuehl liked the bag she made for a friend so much she made one for herself!

Sharon Larson made this fabric bass for a RAFA challenge

Mary Kozub's latest portrait quilt, featuring herself and her sister Patty

Linda Prouty gave herself a 50th wedding anniversary gift!

Kathi made this with scraps she got in an online challenge

Kathi made this with woll bits Mary Lee gave her.
This piece was also a result of an online challenge Kathi participated in.

Apologies- I missed who made this.

The trunk show Mary Diamond did was amazing!  Many of her quilts were inspired by time spent in Africa.  Others feature the faces of her children and grandchildren.

Note the hair- made with one of those "ladder" ribbon yarns

This piece was inspired at the Genesee Country Museum

After the meeting, members enjoyed a wonderful class on thread painting!

Kathi's piece at the end of class
Martha's piece after the class- pinned to the frame

Anyone else who took the class and would like to share their work can send it to Martha to be added! We'd all love to see it.
Dodie Morrison finished and sent us a picture!

The June meeting will feature a trunk show from Ruth Ohol.
Reminder- the dyeing class is on June 30- NOT on Guild meeting day
