For September we worked on Community Service quilts

Our show and tell was led off by Nancy Ellers, who has been quite busy!

Pincushion chickens

Crocheted cap for cancer patients

Pillowcases for her quilt show entries

Quilt as you go project from last month's class

Tiny strip pieced quilt

and another tiny strip pieced quilt

Kathy Belluscio made this quilt for her granddaughter

Carol McNally's "Falling Charms"- a Missouri Star tutorial

Cathy Judkins did this "taste of Bali" on her embroidery machine

Cathy Judkins' "Winter Song"

Donna Sofokles intended to give this runner to a family member, but decided it was "too  much work to give away" so she's keeping it!

Susie Spicer finally thought she made something worth sharing with the group- a matching baby quilt, bag and travel pillow

Maria Adams wool felt pincushion from a class

Sandy Shufeldt took the same class!

Chris Kuehl made a fabulous fish in a coral reef for the ArtCGirlz challenge

Mary Kozub made this gorgeous runner for the ArtCGirlz raffle basket

Martha made some kitty themed items to be donated to the shelter fundraiser next month

The 20 or so members who stayed to work on Community Service quilts had a very nice, and productive afternoon!

Some worked alone on layering or quilting completed tops.

Most gathered in little sewing circles.

Several groups worked together on tying small quilts.

(see Nancy taking a picture here?)

She caught Martha taking pictures of everyone else!
No one stipples like Ann Renica!

There were good times all around!

Plus a fabulous lunch!
Of course there was chocolate!!!!
