November Demo day and a Great show and tell!

Members of the guild decorating our tree at the annual "Festival of Trees" at the Holland Land Office Museum.

There was a very long line of ladies with things to show at the meeting this month!!!

Nancy Ellers started us off by showing that she finally made herself a new nametag on her embroidery machine.
Nancy reminds us to read the directions when making community service blocks.
A group Nancy works with is collecting crocheted squares.  This is Nancy's first, and only, gingham square.
Trudy Kutter has been finishing up some things.
Trudy used several techniques to finish this one
This one was quilted using the "Big stitch" technique.
Tracy Jachimowicz's granddaughter will be getting her "Frozen" quilt at last.
Tracy started this in a class with Karen Kay Buckley at the Hershey quilt show in July.

Mary Ellen Casey finished her project from one of the Paula Nadelstern classes.
The extra blocks she made into a table runner.
Mary Ellen's entry for the fish "challenge" the ArtCGirlz are doing.

Mary Anne Watson made a doll quilt for a little girl with scraps from the baby quilt made for her.
Mary Anne loved the birds on this fabric, in spite of it not being her colors.

Melanie Watson made a "Bow tucks" bag, adding a zipper and little feet.
The Melanie made a matching wallet- that holds change if you keep it right side up.  (Sorry, Mel, I couldn't resist!)
Using the same basic instructions from the favors made for the 2012 quilt show.

Mary Kozub used the kaleidoscope techniques learned  last month to make this ball.

Mary bought this kit at the Genesee Valley show last June.

Cheryl Doody made this fall table runner

Elaine Ross used the carrier for a backpack chair as a pattern for her quilt carrier, since she rolls all of hers on tubes.

Cathy Judkins Made this lovely flower bag with her embroidery machine.

Donna Tomski used fabric she got at the flea market a while back to piece this for Community Service
Donna made this in a block of the month class at Mt. Pleasant.
Carol McNally has all her blocks made from the classes last month.
Kathy Belluscio made this as a gift for a neighbor.

Anne Rupert's lucky niece will be getting this tree skirt- which sparkles like freshly fallen snow in the sunshine!

Connie and Vinnie showed the quilt tops that had been brought in this month. Sorry they're blurry- they were moving very fast!

Barb Brady made this with an Eleanor Burns pattern.
The same block, made into turkeys!

Lorraine West has been trying to use up some of her scraps.
Both of these were donated to community service.

For our program, we enjoyed demos presented by our members.

If you missed it, here is a great tutorial for this technique.

Looks like a great way to use up scraps!

(You'd think I would have taken pictures of my own table, right?  This is my work table at home)

Fortunately, I posted a lot of it on my blog

Don't forget the December meeting is a week early- December 12.  It's our annual holiday party, so remember to bring a place setting and a dish to pass.  This year, think brunch when you choose your dish.  Kathi said bacon is good.  :-)
