National honors for Guild members!

The museum Quilt Guild is being represented on the national stage by several of our members this year.

Three member works were chosen as semi-finalists for the first ever AQS Quilt Week Syracuse Show.

Martha Lorshbaugh's quilt, titled "Zendala Mandala", which was also shown at the AQS show held in Lancaster, PA in March.

Elaine Ross had two selected!

 "Save the Monarchs"

  and "Then...the Crocus".

Elaine has also had a work chosen for an exhibition to be shown at the International Quilt Festival in Houston.   Called Digital Alchemy, by Jane Dunnewold  which deals with how quilters are using digital photos printed on fabric.

"Triptych - The Leaves of Florida"

Julie Brandon has also had quilts selected for this exhibit, and once she send a picture, it will be added to this post.

Congratulations, Ladies!!!

Another member, Kevin Hammon, currently is showing an exhibit of his paintings at the GoArt! Gallery, titled "In Fine Feather".  The exhibit runs through August 27.  More information can be found here.
