Demo Derby Day!

Many Thanks to Kathi for arranging another interesting and very informative group of demos for the meeting this month! They were all well done and many thanks also go out to the ladies who put the time into presenting them.
In case you were unable to attend, or need more information, here are some of the resources shared at the meeting.

Melanie recommends going to http://www.youtube.com/ and searching for "how to build a cheap quilting table".
Leah Day at http://www.daystyledesigns.com/has a lot of great information and a webstore with some great tools available. Don't forget to check out her blog!

Martha used:
The Art Quilt Workbook, Chapter 10, for the basic facings
Quilting Arts Magazine, Feb/ March 08 for the whole cloth facing

and recommends these additional resources:

If you liked the Spiral quilts Mary Ellen showed us you may want to visit RaNae Merrill's website and blog. This is the technique Mary Ellen used to make her challenge quilt this year.

Dodie showed us the magic of Texture Magic! The possibilities are endless for putting this product to good use.

Thank you all again for the wonderful preparations and demo's . We all learned something new
