Summer Picnic

It was a pretty small crowd at the July meeting to enjoy our picnic "Brunch", but those who did come enjoyed a wonderful array of goodies, and time with friends.

Even Show and tell was pretty small.  Mary Lee had no trouble keeping track of who did what to write notes this month!

This is Martha Lorshbaugh's much maligned May UFO.  It finally behaved and was finished by the end of June to keep her on track for one finish a month!  Down front is the kitty Martha crocheted from a free pattern, called Kattis.

Nancy Ellers made a bag with the fabric she designed and decorated last month in class with Laura Little of Just Threads.

Nancy is still making donation quilts with jelly roll strips.  This time she used the leftovers for a doll quilt.

Nancy collected the cut off corners from a jelly roll quilt (or two?) to make a doll quilt.  She probably won't do any more of them.

This rail fence quilt was made for the guild's Community Service collection.

And then it was time for the feast!

Yummy!!!

In August, we'll be hearing about Amish quilts and traditions with Sally McCarthy.  She will also have Amish crafts for sale.
