First, there's show and tell!
Wild at heart for Kathi's granddaughter
Camisole de force- part of the "Whence" challenge from RAFA
"The Kiss"- Kathi's son and daughter-in-law at their wedding
Made with an old slip, stitched with childhood memories
Tracy made this mystery quilt at Quilt Odyssey in Hershey last year. Cathy Schmeider quilted it.
A gift for Elaine Ross' grandson, who has become an official firefighter
Mary Kozub was trying to use up some scraps by piecing tops for Community Service.
"Medallion" bag Mary knitted, then felted. It's as big as it looks.
Cathy also made herself a cute little purse, called a hobo bag.
And has made many of the t-shirts- and fabrics!- she's picked up on her travels into a quilt.
Mary Anne Watson picked this up from the free table a while back, and soon realized why someone was getting rid of it. So instead of a quilt made of goat blocks, maybe this will be a single block pillow.
Nancy Ellers made some project Linus quilts using jelly roll strips. The bright color strips came out in chunks, so she cut some of them and made the 16 patch blocks to break it up a bit.
Nancy's sister came to help her out after surgery, so as a thank you Nancy made her the four block fox wall hanging. She liked it so well, she made the three block one for herself.
Our photographer, Martha Lorshbaugh, finished another UFO. This will be donated to Golisano Children's Hospital.
Martha thought this quilt was designed with her in mind.
Martha knitted a "miffy" doll, using a free pattern Kathi Everett found on facebook.
All learned something about thread from Laura Little of Just Threads, in Watertown, NY. Laura brought a really nice assortment of threads for us to buy as well. I'm sure those who took the class learned much more!
Next month is the summer picnic. Bring your own place setting and a dish to pass. Think Brunch since it's not usually lunch time yet when we eat.
