June Show and Tell

Another great show and tell this month!!!!

Kathi Everett started us off with this piece for a friend who collects Rolling stones memorabilia.  It was made using Susan Carlson's collage technique.

Kathi was playing with her mono-printed fabrics, and wound up with this great tote bag.  The handles came from a bag at the thrift store!

Kathi and her daughter and granddaughter made rings using elastic and vintage buttons.

Kate Martin Made this yoyo flag as a donation.

Kate finished her wool felt applique project from the class given by Susan Ralyea

Kate made this with ties to test the block pattern....

...for this quilt, made as a gift for a pharmacist who retired from the VA.  Yes, these were ties- even the lava lamp!

Lori Anderson showed the piece she won an award for at the recent Genesee Valley show, titled "Time in the Garden"

Mary Lu Hodgins found this beautiful antique quilt at a car show, of all places.

Mary Ellen Casey made this quilt, using the "Go with the Flow" pattern, as a donation for the quilt ministry at her church.

Mary Ellen finished her leaf quilt from the Judy Neimeyer class with Barb Miller.

Donna Tomski was working on this at the retreat in February.  It's the second she has made from this book.

Mary Lee Kozub brought this- a window from her cobblestone house- to remind us the theme for the January 2016 challenge is Architecture.

Pat Gardner also finished her leaf quilt.

Cheryl Doody made this with fabrics she couldn't resist at a shop in Penn Yan.

Linda Prouty made this signature quilt as a gift for a co-worker os her son who has cancer.

Connie and Jennifer Grimsley worked on this at retreat.  It is now ready to be given as a gift.

Connie also showed a group of Comunity Service quilts which were turned in at the meeting.

We had a wonderfully informative lecture from Molly Waddell on what judges are looking for when you make a competition quilt.

Next month is the annual picnic.  Watch your newsletter for details.
