Community Service Day

First, I'm very sorry for the random order of the pictures- they decided to rearrange themselves when I uploaded them.

We had a great turnout for the community service work session!  Those doing the hand work formed into groups and had a sort of old fashioned quilting bees!
Show and tell was, as always, exciting and inspiring!  Several members had gone right to work with their ugly fabrics from the February game!

Nancy Mitchell made her uglies into a fun maze/ matching game for children to play!

Carol Farkas turned her uglies into butterflies!

Nancy Ellers cut hers really small to make this door banner.

Robin Jarvis made hers into a "U" for Ugly.

Mary Ellen Ames said this _Might_ be her last Judy Neimeyer quilt

Mary Ellen got some help from Liz Scott to finish this door banner.

This beautiful Kaffe Fassett quilt was a kit Carol Farkas finally finished

Liz Scott made this as a quilt of valor

Nancy Ellers made the shamrock mugrug below with her embroidery machine. The hat above is the back/label.  Nancy also made the shamrock hat she's wearing

Using her knitting machine, Nancy also made this sweet bunny hat.

Using up some scraps, Nancy made these pretties with a pile of half square triangles.

Guest attendee Agnes LaPorte shared this table quilt she made using some old Seinfeld fabrics.

Elaine Ross was inspired by the images from the James Webb telescope to make this celestial wall hanging.

Elaine was inspired when the silk fusion piece in the center fell out of the cupboard onto the background fabric!  The tree is thread sketched.

Nancy Schrader made this baby quilt, and used up all the scraps from trimming the wonky blocks on the back!

This pillow is a gift for a soon to arrive baby in Nancy's life- she got signatures at the baby shower.

Mary Ellen Casey's granddaughter asked for a "Grammy blanket with a giraffe", and this is what Mary Ellen made!

Martha finished this well traveled wall quilt- taken to several previous retreats- at retreat in February.
