Stars all Around!

In September the guild was treated to a perfect early autumn day outside and a lot of  inspiration inside!

(I've decided to choose a picture from show and tell  at random to be the header for each month's post from now on.  Why didn't I do this the whole time???)

Nancy Ellers found some fn projects on a free table that she completed!

Nancy did an online class to learn how to make krinkle fringe scarves,

Carolyn Stegman brought in this quilt top which was hand sewn by her grandmother.  She was looking for advice for what to do with it.

Mary Ellen Ames shared this lovely little star wall hanging she recently finished.

Mary Ellen also finished this lovely floral panel quilt from a kit she's had a while.

And she brought in one of her quiltworx (Judy Neimeyer) pieces  in keeping with the theme of the program. This is called Good night star

Alex Hammon made a tiny Kindle cover

Alex also made herslef a new purse from a Lazy Girl designs pattern called a Sassy bag.

Liz Scott brought in 5 of her favorite Quilts of Valor, which will be given to her husband's buddies on Veteran's Day

Nancy Mitchell framed and finished her little chickadee from the class in August!

Nancy Schrader brought her chickadee in as well.

Nancy got her Q20 set up and made herslef a little quilted vaance with a vintage linen.

Nancy took a class to make this lovely barn quilt panel.

BONUS projects!!

Alex had already given these away....
a yoga bag for her cousin
a tissue caddy for her mom

Martha is giving this away before the next meeting.  It's a scrap therapy pattern called Charming Buds.

Karen Bryant, a certified Quiltworx instructor, brought a lovely trunk show of her work to share with us!
I didn't get the names of the quilts I took pictures of. Sorry!

In October we'll be working on Community Service quilts.  Come spend time with your fellow members doing what we all love for a good cause!
