Mary Ellen Ames kicked it off with her Judy Niemeyer leaf from the class with Barb Miller.
Junamae Quternous had a couple of sweet small projects for us- this owl purse, which she has already made several of for grandchildren.
And her completed piece from the wool felt workshop given at the April meeting.
MelanieWatson made the first donation for the next Silent Auction with the burlap heart door hanger. The flowers can be changed easily for the season.
Ethyl Sojda used up some scraps for this small quilt and the matching pillow (below)
The runner was made with some hand quilted blocks Ethyl has had waiting to be finished for a while.
Chris Kuehl showed us the bowl she made using clothesline and fabric in her favorite colors.
Chris used paints and watercolor pencils to create this piece, inspired on a photo she took.
This vintage quilt, made by Chris' great-grandmother, was found in a trunk at her parents house.
Mary Ann Watson is giving this quilt to a special little boy soon.
Elaine Ross used a slightly different color palette to create this modern quilt.
And pointed out how important it is to dress to match your show and tell. :-)
Terry McGuire made this hand print quilt with the help of children from St James Church.
Nancy Ellers made an i-spy/ matching game quilt for her new grandson.
Barb Brady made this using a pattern called Pumpkin Brule, by Kim Diehl.

Connie had children from her school sign signature blocks to make a retirement gift for the principal.
Donna teased us by telling that we can see her wool felt project if we go to the fundraiser at Crossroads house and buy tickets for the Chinese auction. (It was the same day)
Samples for the and applique class Jean Butzer will be presenting in August.
The program for this meeting was Member Tips and Tricks. Several members did small demos or reviewed products of interest to the rest of us.
Melanie had a full bag of tricks, including an easy way to turn a project you sew all around....
....And connecting pool noodles with a dowel to hold larger quilts.
Deb Vossburg showed some projects to make doing stitcheries and redwork a bit easier. (pictured below)
Cheryl Doody brough samples of her "Pipeless piping" technique, which adds a small bit of color and interest to her projects.
