May Block of the Month

 

 

 I'm glad you're enjoying the monthly block swap! Some people are making multiples, so there have been enough blocks for small quilt tops each month.  

  This month, the block is an uneven nine patch- great for nickel or Scrap Therapy squares!  The directions are here:

There are two methods shown for the block. I tried both and was pleased with the results either way.  

The only difference I saw was the way the seam allowances come together.  I had to repress one seam using the four patch method - the black one- to get the seams to nest neatly.  (see photo below)
